Special Education Links
Special education rests on a foundation of federal statutes and federal and state regulations. While the statutory and regulatory language can be difficult, they both require that much of the information be provided to the public in a form that is more understandable. The information does not explain all of the nuances of the law, but can be helpful in providing direction. In addition, there are many non-governmental web sites that contain useful information about the regulations, the process for securing special education services, and the process for determining children’s needs and the best ways to provide them an education.
